Henry and Lulu Fisher Stamper Brown

 Thurs, Feb 23, 2006

Golden,

This is Henry and Lulu Fisher Stamper Brown. She married a 'Brown' after Henry died.
They are buried in Henderson Cemetery in Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky.

Henry was born 6/11/1882?, Letcher or Carter County; and died in Glob, Carter County, Kentucky 10/20/1918.

The story is like 'Pewter' John's'. Henry might have been born out of wedlock; not really sure ... just rumor. There is no birth certificate on him that I can find; however, when he was 7, he was living with George Stamper in Carter County by the census taker and it shows him as a 'nephew'. His son was James Stamper who is buried in Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill.

There is a Carl Stamper in Olive Hill who is related to him and a Faye Stamper Shoemaker in Granite City, IL who is his granddaughter. They say they are related to 'Pewter' John; but can't find the connection.

Is there anyone that can help?

Cousin and buddy,

Tom Stamper
